If you can find what you want in the Summary Book then armed with the ED and Page Number, then you can go virtually straight to the census page in seconds.

As there are usually two pages per household, if Summary page No is 144, then look at image 288 on census - you won't be far out.

RG number:

Registration District:
St Olave (Bermondsey) Sub District:
Rotherhithe Enumeration District:
7 Parish:
Bermondsey

Address:
9 Temeraire ST

So Ancestry I did the browse collection

Selected London, Bermondsey, Rotherhithe and then ED 07

The schedule number I was looking for is shown as ref SN136 on FMP

Took a random image and then checked the schedule number, top right of image, and then adjusted until I got to schedule on that image of 136

Very long way of doing it even when you know all the details

Without FMP details it will take hours to even find the right parish etc

The images are there but I can see no shortcut I'm afraid.

They are not complete yet on Ancestry , only the summary pages, its a work in progress.

Post the details you are looking for and someone may be able to find them elsewhere for you

Hi
I have a subscription to ancestry and i am trying to look up a family on the 1911 census. someone on here kindly looked for them on the official 1911 census site and so i have all the info.

i wanted to see if i could find them on the ancestry records. i have all the details but it looks like i will have to look through 667 pages to find the original page.

is there an easier way to do it

i have the county, parish and enumeration district but there are 667 pages to look through.

any help or advice would be great. if i can figure out how to use the 1911 on ancestry then it will stop me having to ask for help.

cheers
