	If your friend is also 8 generations away from the brothers, it sounds about right, although I don't think you need the 'removed' if that is the case. You start adding Removed when there is a generation difference. You are 'removed' from the mutual parent(s)

	Query. 2 families coming from brothers in 1755( 8 generations to myself ) i am from one brother and a friend from the other brother, are we cousins 8 times removed? regards Karen
