look here as well, not as cheap as amazon , but give access to Ancestry 3months or six months.

It's not ebay - it's amazon, but they appear to have sold out.

Hi Kathrryn

I have been trying to find the Family Tree Maker offer you mentioned on ebay - do you know if it is still on sale with them. It does sound a good offer.

"Also FTM 2010 is no longer the latest version of the software, which is why Avanquest is virtually giving it away."

Agreed IGP, I'm currently running FTM 2011 myself and no doubt 2012 will be out shortly. But for that price I'm quite prepared to install, activate, then uninstall an earlier version. Or rather, get my vastly more competant other half to do it...!

As far as I know all Ancestry subscription plans will give you the 1911 census. However, be aware, whilst you can access the images by registration district, you can't, as yet, search by name.

Also FTM 2010 is no longer the latest version of the software, which is why Avanquest is virtually giving it away.

Yes Sonya it does, it's ancestry's highest package so you get everything!! Although 1911 is not indexed by name yet on ancestry so it's not as straightforward to find people, but it can be done,

Does the 6 months membership give access to the 1911 census?

Hope this helps someone. On Amazon, FTM 2010 World (PC), via Avanquest Software, £25 plus £3.29 delivery - that's six months Ancestry World for under £30 :-D Mine arrived today, 48hrs, and I've dealt with the company direct before. I do get fairly frequent advertising emails from them, but at that price it's worth it.
