Start by doing a free search on the 192 site............for the person by name.

Not much point, though, if you are looking for a woman - whose name is probably not the same as at birth

And remember that it is possible to opt-out of having one's details on the publicly-available ER, so this person may not be listed anyway

192 has, I believe, ER's from 2002 to date...............but..........CHECK the site to find out!

Electoral registers from that time would only show people over the age of 21 who were eligible to vote.

They can only be searched by address and not by name.

They are kept in the nearest reference library to the address and at the County Records Office for the county in question.

Sorry - I don't know what information you would need for 192.com although I suspect they only have up to date registers.

Before I buy any credits for 192.com, I would just like to find out how specfic you need to be for the electoral register. I am trying find a cousin who was born in Croydon 50 years ago so, can I search by county i.e surrey, sussex, kent or does it need to be a town?
many thanks for any help.
