Thanks for all the advice, as I live in the south I will have to wait and go on a break up north, that will be nice anyway. I will also look at the Durham records on line.

You can only view the banns in the Durham Records Office but if you are looking for a BMD got here

Does anyone know if it is possible to view Banns from 1872 for St Nicholas Durham.
