The original image for 1901 for occupation has something about Ships, so maybe he was away at sea in 1891.

i am researching the below person

Francis Cunningham
Birth: 29 Dec 1866 in Sunderland, Co Durham, England
Death: 2 Jun 1937 in Municipal Hospital, Sunderland
Father: Christopher Cunningham
Mother: Jane Harper

He appears in the 1871 census, missing from the 1881 and 1891 and re-appears in the 1901 census. Do any of you have any idea where he can be hiding? i am slightly baffled.

Thanks in advance
