Yes Janet, really must pay a visit to West Yorkshire, and check out parish records. As this was my only known relative from Yorkshire have not done much research on her. Time to get the maps out.

Many baptisms have the abode of the child, is it worth checking the original to see if this is entered. I read some baptisms of 1720 the other day where there was just a couple of letters after the father's name which I eventually realised was an abbreviation of their abode which proved very helpful.-jl

Suzanne, know where you are coming from, this has happened a lot to me recently. Yes Ken, have found a Martha in 1841 with two adults, one Mary age 35 with a Josha age 14 so assume she is married to their son with a grandchild also called Josha, so it could still pan out.

Might be worth trying to trace back the two Joshua lines, they could have been cousins In that case you would know a couple of G5grandparents.

Also worth checking whether any Joshuas and/or Marthas were around in 1841 and if so who they were living with. Maybe the names of the children give a clue to which family they come from.

I presume you have checked for wills which may mention children by name.
