Sometimes it is somthing GR have upgraded that triggers off a problem for a handful of users whose particular set up objects to the change. It makes it all very frustrating especially if they don't believe they have updated anything on their pc recently.

Anyway, glad to hear you are sorted.

Hi InspectorGreenPen

I have taken off the blocker for genes and its working. A big thank you to you for all your help. I would also like to apologize for blaming GR. My fault entirely.

Could be. Can you set your blocker to ignore frames from the GR site? There should be a way of setting exceptions.

Cache is another term to describe the temp file that your browser uses to store pages from the intenet. Clearing history may or may not clear this too, depending on how you have it set up. The default cache is actually quite small, a legacy from the days of relatively small hard drives, but you can increase its size.

Hi InspectorGreenPen

Thank you for your help. It is really appreciated.

My browsing history clears when I shut down. Not sure what cache is. I have noticed an (error on this page) on the bottom left hand corner when I try and use My Updates. I was wandering if it could have something to do with the Automatic Blocker being on. In the right hand corner.

Kind Regards
Tetley

Tetley,

Try clearing your cache and browsing history and then restart your browser.

Hi InspectorGreenPen

Thank you so much for you reply. I have tried Updates from the Messages drop down menu also.

I logged off last night and logged back on and it worked. Just tried again and its not working again. I have not moaned about this site before. Just put up with all these errors etc but there seems to be so many problems. It makes me wonder if its not time to give up on this site.

Regards
Tetley

Just tried now and it seems ok for me. Takes a couple of seconds to open when I click on the + show link.

You can also get to see Updates from the Messages drop down menu.
