Might depend on which software you are using, but in Word, click on Format at top of screen, then select Borders and Shading; Page Border; then click in the None box.

If you mean a document such as a census scan then you could load it into a photo editing program, such as Windows Photo Gallery and crop it to remove the border before you print it.

I open my census images in Microsoft Picture Library

Then select Edit Pictures – which is shown on the tool bar across the top.

The available options are then shown on the right hand side of the screen under the heading of “Edit using these tools”:
Brightness and Contrast
Colour
Crop
Rotate and Flip
Red Eye Removal
Resize

Click on Crop.

Around the image appears some markings – one line down each side and at the corners. You then have to hover your cursor over the marking and it changes to a “T” shape. Then you left click and drag to the size you want doing this with all four sides. Then click on OK on the right hand side of screen.

But as already said it will depend on what programme you already have on your computer.

Might also depend on what is compatible on your talking computer
