It's much easier to look at the record on FindmyPast than to go to Kew, find it and look at it! FMP doesn't have all Army records of course, but it does have surviving records for "other ranks", ie not officers, discharged up to 1913

i got my ancestors Army Record through National Archives site. he was an out pensioner and served from 1825-1849.

At the time I got them you could search the site for the record but then had to order it to be sent by mail.

Not sure if the record is now on Ancestry though, will have to take a look

Edit: No still not on Ancestry so would have to get it still from the National Archives

This is what it says on FMP about those records:

The Chelsea Pensioners' British Army Service Records 1760-1913 are brought to you online in association with The National Archives (TNA). The TNA record series number is 'WO97': WO indicates that the records were created by the War Office, the precursor of today's Ministry of Defence. These records are of men pensioned out of the British Army 1760-1913. The connection with 'Chelsea Pensioners' is that the pensions were administered through The Royal Hospital at Chelsea. The great majority of pensioned soldiers were out-pensioners and did not reside at the Hospital itself.

I don't think that they will be part of the NA online documents so you would have to go to the Archives to see them. You can view the images on FMP, so probably quicker and cheaper than go the NA.

In short, yes they do. But you will need to have a look at their website to see the scope of the material they have.

What are you hoping to find, and for which period?
