Please could someone find Ezekiel Smith (married to Eliza), born abt. 1856, Baldock, Herts - possibly still living in Cambridge? Also, his children, if they're not living at home:
Matilda - born abt. 1876, West Ham
Elias - born abt. 1881, Leytonstone / Wanstead, Essex
Ezekiel - born abt. 1884, Edmonton, Essex (Middlesex?)
Cornelius - born abt. 1887, Norwich, Norfolk
I have census returns up until the 1911. Most importantly, did Eliza have more than 4 children? It seems unlikely, when considering the prior census returns. Trying to rule out (or in!) a family connection.

First post: any idea what a Travelling Inssioner might be?! Is this a typo or a direct transcription. Could "Under Nominational" be "Undenominational"? I know Ezekiel had some religious connections (he was the brother of the famous evangelist Gipsy Rodney Smith).
Second post: does the "5 children 1 died" refer to Eliza or Matilda? Are there any other people at 65 St. Phillips Rd?

The children belong to Eliza. Matlida has no children, married less than a year. No other people living there.

It looks like traveling missioner undenominational.

Could anyone please track down the male children I listed? I've been looking for a Birth Index match for each since my original post, and had no luck with Ezekiel junior. I am wondering if Ezekiel was the Frank Ezekiel Smith reg'd in Cambridge in the DQ of 1883.

Thanks, PollyPoppet - but I should have mentioned that Ezekiel junior was 3 months old at the time of the '81 census, a JQ '82 registration would be pushing it ... Gloucester was the only near Birth Index match (a very unlikely one!).

I was more interested to see if the 3 male children could be located on the 1911 census ...
