Please can anyone offer any help to point me in the right direction. I have details of my ancestors on the 1901 census in Northwich, Cheshire, I've tried to find them on the 1911 census, but no record of them, looked on death records, again no record, looked on passenger ships leaving again no record. Their names are William J Winkle and Maria Winkle. Where else could I possibly find them?

John Oakes is the brother in law of who I am looking for. I am trying to find William J and Maria Winkle, they lived at 61 Witton St, Northwich on 1901 census, then they suddenly disappear, and I'm sure they're not still alive, lol!

William J Winkle born 1874 Hanley Staffs, Maria Winkle born 1878, (her name at birth was Mary but changed it to Maria after she married) Northwich Cheshire, the 1901 census is the last record I have off them.

William J Winkle was 27 on the 1901 census, he then disappears, I don't know where else to look to try and find him, same with Maria. Thanks for the extra information on the death of his son William V, it is much appreciated.

There is a William and Mary Winkle living in County Cork on the irish 1911 census but they and their children are all down as born in Cork.
There is a young boy also living with a McCarthy family in Cork down as nephew born in Woolwich.??

This matches the 7 children born to Mary in Prison with William Arthur being the one who died???

Thanks for the information. I'm not on ancestry but that tree is definitely the same one. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do you find out about prison records? This has me intrigued. Also the Thomas K Winkle could possibly fit in somewhere. I have an extremely complicated family tree due to Ethel May Winkle keep changing her name. This is possibly her son or it has been rumoured in the family could have been Maria's. Thanks very much for your help I will check out this information.
