Irish marriage certs

Whilst it is true you can't order marriage / death certs online before c 1920 you can still order by post/fax. Download the form and either post or fax it to them.

You will need a credit card (Mastercard or Visa) for payment to be taken in Euro's and converted to GBP by your card company, which is also what happens when you order on-line.

The GRO(I) index thru 1958 (excl N. Ireland post-partition) is available at:

One can purchase certs (or cheaper still, the uncertified images of the rego) via:
http://www.groireland.ie/

The Irish 1901/1911 censuses are free at:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/
[Not heard of any release dates for next census (=1926 in both Irelands)]

Most City of Dublin parish registers are free online at:
http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/
[There are also Carlow, Cork & Kerry OPRs there too]

Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone can help me.My husband and i are looking for a copy of a marriage cert from 1899 in dublin.We know the exact date the wedding took place and what church, we just can't find anywhere to order online for marriages before 1920.I would really appreciate any help to point me in the right direction, thanks in advance, vicky
