Hello Volunteers, I would like to discover information about Tidbury Havill Edwards thought to have been born somewhere in Canada. He somehow came to Australia, married and raised a family then suddenly dissappeared.

The Sydney Morning Herald Tuesday 29 December 1942

"Gunner Tidbury Havill Edwards, 22, at a Court-martial at Victoria Barracks yesterday, was charged with desertion and with having worn three oversea service chevrons and a red wound stripe when not entitled
to do so.
Edwards was alleged to have told a sergeant of the Provost Corps that he had served two or three months
overseas.
Other statements to the Court were that Edwards had served at Darwin for nine months, but had not been in action.
Edwards, in an unsworn statement, said that he had been knocked down by a car while on leave, and he thought he was entitled to wear the wound stripe, because he had received hospital treatment.
The Court's decision will be promul- gated later.
