Hi Moonbi

If you give us a name date of birth and place maybe we can help you.

I don't know about Thorney specifically, but you will find quite a bit on Cambridgeshire, including some Parish records (baptism and burials) and other bits and bobs, transcribed by volunteers of the Cambridgeshire Family History Society, on their website.

If you have a lot of rellies from there, it's worth joining the CFH Society (only £8 p.a.) which includes their quarterly magazine amongst other things. I joined years ago, though unfortunately I don't live anyhwere near the area so I've never been to any of their meetings! But have found the webiste to be a huge help....go to wwwcfhs.org.uk

Thanks Susan. I already have a thread on this person. so this could be a duplicate if I post the details here for the Marmaduke Sutton birth.
I have the marriage record,

and a pdf from the Thorney Heritage Society Sutton family genealogy, which gives all the DESCENDANTS of Marmaduke.
but that isnt what I want now.

I am hoping to get back to his birth records . and find his parents etc

Thanks Karen, Being an aussie , I dont think joining the society would be of much benefit.
but thank you for the link to website, shall pursue this again.
