I had one of those- "........... has opened his tree for you" messages ,checked and my last contact with him was in 2005 !

I also just deleted it.

If you believe there is a problem with em messages re members opening trees then you need to report the full details to the support team and ask them to investigate.

Forward examples of the emails you have received to

[email protected]

On the other issue, I cant recall GR ever sending me a message about sub renewal through the site message system, only by email to my designated email address.

i thought i was the only one who was having this problem untill your post
brummiejan its very Annoying as you say it must be a blip on the site but i would of thought the Genes site would tell us of a problem i did look to see if some one else was having this problem i looked at my Yahoo email today to find Genes have given me a reminder that my account is up the 19 of sept but no message again on my messages on Genesreunited i meen come on i do pay for the service i expect to be told of contacts giving me access to there sites & any messages people send me i would say to any one look at the email account you gave when you signed up to genesreunited just in case your having same problem

I've had the same thing but haven't thought to ask why, just deleted emails! Must just be a blip. You could contact Genes and ask I suppose.

i have just found out that people have been opening there trees to me but i have not been notifide in my messages i went to look at my own Yahoo Email account & found over the past week i have had notices of contacts who have given me access to view there tree but nothing on Genes site i looked at my messages but nothing no new messages in the in box telling me contact has given me access has the site changed the way it tells us about access has been given i shell have to look at my yahoo emails every day now ?
