Dawn
I understand If you can prove you are closely related......and can send them proof ..... the NSW/BMD should oblige with a death cert. (this will show names/ages of all his off-spring.)

The ' Ryerson Index' (on-line) shows Herbert Arthur Knowler's funeral was on 22/2/1995 ('Daily Telegraph' (Sydney)).

The 'NSW State Library' (on-line) will check newspaper death notices -and also electoral rolls (past & present). 'White Pages' (on-line) may also be of help.

Hello Valerie.
Thank you for your response.
You have been very helpful.
I know Death records only go up to 1980 for nsw.
and electoral rolls up to 1954.
Ive not heard of Ryerson Index where would I find this.

Kind Regards
Dawn

Hi Dawn ... just ask 'google' .... for ' 'Ryerson Index'.....which has newspaper death notice records taken from mainly NSW/QLD/VIC newspapers -to present day.

'Ryerson's had just one record of the funeral - (not likely to have family names) ....but if you ask the 'NSW State Library' ....they will check their newspaper records - which MAY have more notices with family names.
They will also check electoral rolls to present day.
