A great big THANK YOU to you all for this wonderful help. The reason I had difficulty was that the father of the first 2 children was married to a Lydia Mapham at the time of their birth. She died in 1887 and he married Lydia's niece Florence who had been living with them for some time. But rumour has it that there was a bit of scandal in the family and now I think maybe, William the father was a naughty boy with the niece, hence the children being registered under the name of Mapham. Will check out the birth records and maybe get certificates of at least 1 to confirm the Mother

It's the blooming Pavey family again. I can't find a birth registration for the following anywhere:
