can anyone please help me look for the parents and siblings of john hillman born abt 1740 in portsea,hampshire.he was bap on 03/03/1740 in st marys ,portsea.he died 19/12/1813 in portsea,hampshire.ive tryed searching everywhere any ideas?many thanks debs

Where did you find his baptism date? If that's available it should at least give one of his parents ...

wow how did you find that so quick?/?im not very good at this been trying for 3 years now on my moters side havt even started on my dads:)))im stuck on the rowland.

familysearch - I don't find it the easiest site now they've changed it a bit but it is useful.

Also, checkout any Family History Societies in the areas you are interested in - they may be able to help or they may have transcribed records onto CDs etc.
