Hello

Im helping an elderly chap to try to find out about a brother he was seperated from as a child.
Not a lot of info to go on Im afraid but apparently his brother was in a Military Hospital (he was a soldier) with cancer and died aged 21yrs about 1954/5. Followed by a Military Funeral.

His name was Peter Robinson and he was born 1935. He had previously lived in Kent and this chap was aware of his mother visiting his brother in hospital and getting the train from Bromley North Railway Station to go and see him.

Very long shot I know but this is all we have. Does anyone have any idea how we may find out any more about his Army records? We dont have his army number either or Regiment??

Needless to say there are no other living relatives to shed further light.

Any suggestions very much appreciated.

This explains how to apply for Army service records but you have to be next of kin

Thanks for that GB.

The chap im helping would be the next of kin - half brother as his mother married twice and there is no one else so it should be ok.

Best wishes
