This is an enquiry for a friend of mine who lives in Oz . Her great grandfather called Thomas Barnes emigrated in or around 1920 with his second wife and settled in Blackbett Queensland. Is there a site that can give information when he may have died, similar to freebmd over here.I am trying to sort out his year of birth.
As she (my friend) is descended from the family who remained in England she has very little information to go on as all her relatives have died.Thanks-jl

Hi Janet,

The Queensland BMD is at this link:

https://www.bdm.qld.gov.au/IndexSearch/BirIndexQry.m

Would also sugegst you try the newspaper archive as Queensland is especially good for finding bits and pieces!

Good luck, let me know if I can help in anyway
