Ive found the names and some birth dates, but I can't find death/burial dates.

The thread had only come to a halt because none of the members reading it felt they had anything they could contribute.

Unfortunately there is no single answer, but you could try Googling something like

belfast genealogy

This will bring up a number of sites that you can look at.

Sorry, David. Mary had not returned, and I had forgotten it :-0

Where and for whom have you been looking?

David

David Report 7 Oct 2011 10:06

Thank you JKM

My Father was from Belfast b1918 - d1990

He was born in Osborne Street Belfast, the son of Samuel Galway Irvine and Sarah Irvine nee McLarnon.

His Grand Father's name was Francis Irvine and his Grand Mother's name was Rosana.

I know they lived in Osborne Street Belfast Duncairn Ward.

I'm lookng (unsuccessfully) for their parentI'm also looking (unsuccessfully) for all their death and burial dates.

I have have used this and other sites to furnish the answers,
but so far,no joy.

On my Father's side of my family tree the only death date I have is my Fathers. b18/10/1918 _ d12/06/90

David, if I were you, as well as the advice given today, I would search the (free) Irish 1901 and 1911 census - http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ - also, there is a wealth of interesting information in that site.

Also, I would subscribe (free) to the Belfast forum - http://www.belfastforum.co.uk/ - browse, read and post :)

Happy hunting.
