Hi, just trying to find if the following two people had any children..

Robert Nunn born 1811, re-married in 1842 to a ANN WEBB born 1823..
In Chevington..

I think his first wife Hannah Stigwood died early in life....Not quite certain of the above dates............ Many thanks..

John - what was his occupation? - there are several possible matches.

Where is Chevington? Was he born there or married there?

John

Hi MarieCelestes - Chevington in Suffolk and born in Chevington, sadly I don't know his profession - I believe he died in Chevington in 1886..

I can't see a Robert Nunn with an Ann in Chevington and the couple appear to have married in the Newmarket Reg District rather that Thingoe that covers Chevington

Marriages Mar 1842 (>99%)

NUNN Robert Newmarket 14 141
WEBB Ann Newmarket 14 141

Julie Report 1 Oct 2011 16:11

Are you sure its your man that married Ann in 1843 cos the age of the one that died in 1886 is with the same lady in 1881 that K posted the 1851 for & in the right area

John

John Report 1 Oct 2011 17:58

Hi All,
K looks as though she's got the right Ann Webb, I had it as 1842, but you could be quite right with 1843, and the area could be Newmarket, I certainly can't see any 'Mahalah' in the family...
I have Robert Nunn born 1811 = married Hannah Stigwood in 1834, then apparently she died in 1835 = they had one child called James in 1835... As the death of Hannah was 1835 and James born in 1835, I can only assume she died in childbirth [not sure].. then in 1842 he married a Ann Webb...
I'm fairly certain that Hannah Stigwood died...
Many thanks JULIE - K - SHIRLEY and MARIECELESTTE..
Hope I'm not confusing everyone.....

Sorry - I can't see a family on the census that would match the detials you have given or a James Nunn born 1835 with father Robert Nunn. in Chevington.

However I have found a tree on Ancestry that lists a Robert Nunn b 1811 in Wood Ditton, Cambridgeshire with wife Hannah Stigwood who is listed as dying in Chevely in Cambridgeshire in 1837. They are listed as having James b 1835 Wood Ditton in Cambridgeshire.

A marriage of Robery Nunn to Ann Webb is listed in Newmarket in 1842 and Robert is listed as dying in 1848 in Newmarket. The couple are listed as having 3 children Arthur 1842 Newmarket, Alfred 1845 and Walter 1847.

This looks like the family in 1861 after Ann remarried
