ancestry census [just a question]

hi all

good morning
was looking at 1841 census on ancestry when you look at the image the names come up underneath with
birth county and birth country
was looking at
william lineker and it say birth country ireland birth county add

anyone know what the add means

Hi Lorraine

I think the 'add' means that it hasn't been transcribed, although with the England 1841 it wouldn't be listed. Is that the same with Irish ones?

It is a standard format applicable to all census. If you saw something missed off from the image or incorrect, you can use the 'add' to transcribe the details. The correction would show up in brackets on the summary transcription page and possibly help other researchers.
