Hi,
My Gt, Gt Grandfather, a brick maker went out to Rouen with his family abt 1841 to work on the railway constructions.
His family appear on the 1851 census with his wife as head of family.
No trace of a death certificate in this country. A child was also born over there. Again no trace of a birth certificate in England
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to trace/how to trace these two people.
Thanks,
Shirl

Leave their names we could take a look for you

Hello Shirley and welcome to the boards.

As Kemp has said, if you leave some names of the people you are researching, someone may be able to take a look for you.

If you are looking for connections on this site, then put the names you are researching into the Search Trees box above to see if any one has them in their tree. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner. Cx.

Hi Kempina,
Sorry for the delay in replying-
Yes, I've checked all censuses from 1851 onwards & Elizabeth Goodman his wife, is always named as 'head of household'

On the 1851, Ellen is shown as a widow; there is a tree on Ancestry which gives his death as being in Rouen, but it is unsourced.

Hi Batmans' daughter!!
Sorry for the delay - half term & away with family.
Yes, I have all details re: Ellen Goodman & her family.
I would like to trace sourced info. to confirm her birth in Rouen & also the death of her father George.
