Sylvia..it very much depends on when they actually came to England and by what route and at what age.......If, for instance it was at the end of the war, and they had been thrown out of Poland by the Russians..they may well have taken the long and well trodden walk to India, and thence to England by boat..some of them were as young as four...... |
