I think Ann's point is that he was at school at the age of four???..presumably taken off the 1911 Census?

I thought Ann's point was that he was called King Charles.
I was at school at 4.

It was Patchem........I just found it a little strange but as you pointed out there are others also.........also lots of Queens! :-D :-D

All children start school at 4 now....so they should :-D

Eldest was only just 4 when she started but my youngest was nearly 5 so that meant an extra year of play school fees

nowt unusual about that in England ...... whether it was back then or now!




I too read it as being the name that Ann couldn't believe a parent would give a child


Just a thought ........ I wonder if King was used in earlier generations in that family?
