Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone lives near here and would be willing to do me a 'look up' there?
It is for the register of deaths at the Selby Union Workhouse.
I have an ancestor who i believe died in there, and i was told by the records office that if he is on the death register there, the register can provide details such as: the date of death; name; age; address when admitted; usual place of abode; certified cause of death; and when and where buried.
I live in Manchester, so i can't get to the reocrds office in Yorkshire.

Alison.

You could try ringing Borthwick Institute in York to see if they have the info you are seeking..

Just click on the site above and you will be able to read all about what Borthwick have in their collections...
