hi
looked on free bmd for the marriage of ernest james moore nothing found
i believe he married in kent between 1944 & 1947
in 1948 he married my now deceasd aunt hilda lilian davies bromley reg office kent as a divorced person
ernest died cromer norfolk 1989

I am only guessing but might his earlier marriage have been before 1944? A period of a maximum of 4 years between the first and second marriages with a divorce in between seems a bit short bearing in mind the divorce procedures of that time.

Researching:
Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

Ernest J Moore Pallis Apr-May-Jun 1944 Sittingbourne Kent

Ernest E J Moore Wilkins Oct-Nov-Dec 1946 Bromley Kent

Ernest J Moore Fricker Jul-Aug-Sep 1939 Dartford Kent


I would tend to opt for the 1939 one as it took far longer then to get a divorce than it does now.
