Thank you, found the button, now I just have to remember to add children to the father.

Click on one of the children and there is a "change parents" option in the centre bar.Alas there is a glitch and it does not always show.

I have attached my husband and his siblings all onto the mother, at the time adding partners onto their mother wasn't an option, since last year my husband found out his father had 2 children later in life, now I have added them its made a right mess in the middle of things, not sure I can get out of it without deleting loads of people first. I have added his father which has made things worse.

As said

Birth Name Mary Smith
1st Husband John Brown entered as Spouse
2nd Husband James Green also entered as Spouse

What you do have to do though is enter all children from each marriage under the relevant husband.

Simples :-) I know 'cos I have a 'lady' who married 3 times. 2nd may have been bigamous bit 1st and 3rd OK.

Thank-you, I will try that.

Janet, you always attach marriages to the person's birth name, so no problem. Their birth name identifies them as that indivdual person.

Can someone help please, it easy to add more than one marraige for a male family member and attach the details to the person in the tree,
but what about the female family members, when they marry for the second or third time, how to I attach the details to the person as the name they have on getting married again is not the birth name so marriage details can't be attached, hope this makes sense.
