poss twin birth

Could it be possible that these two are twins?

Very possible but you would need the certs to prove it. Jessie died Mar q 1899. Stanley can be seen on the 1901 census.

I would suggest also that you look at the death records as it looks like Jessie died.

You would need to put in the surname (leave out first name) and the years 1898 - 1901 (or 1911) & the reg district Medway.

Thanks PigletsPal,

I thought she may have been a twin of Stanleys, as on the 1911 census ( given to me earlier, & on here ) there were 10 children 2 had died so had been looking thru the death index.
Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

In the case of twins, or other multiple births, the birth certificate will show the time of birth. This is done for inheritance and other legal purposes.

It is possible that they are twins, however if the records were as well kept as in more modern times, then you would only need to order one of the certificates.

I have twin nephews born 1986 and the time of the birth is recorded on the birth certificate.
