Can anyone please offer any advice on searching for relative after 1950 in New Zealand. I don't seem to be able to find any web sites that can help me, other than those offering paid research.

Thanks

Hi Debra,
NZ doesn't have anything online for that era - the only information of BMD would be on fiche at libraries or electoral rolls in hard copy - again at libraries. At least the rolls are alphabetical! (within each electorate)
What sort of information do you require?

I'm taking my computer in to be checked this morning so may not be back for some time,
Bernie

One thing that you can research online for free and up until the present day are Cemetery Records.
Each town and City in NZ has a local Council who is responsible for the Cemetery's in their area. Each Council Has a website that will provide a link to it's online Cemetery Records.
If you 'Google' Online Cemetery Records NZ the page will bring up some of the Major Council web sites as well as one site which will give you a list for all of NZ Cemetery's.
Hope this helps Kiwibird

Thank you for your help.

I am trying to find out more about a Miss Lily Rawson (a tailoress) born 1930.
Emigrated to NZ on 18 August 1952 aboard the Captain Cook.
Would love to find if she married, and whether she is still alive.
