Thanks for your suggestions. I reckon Kilraughts will be right and as for the rest of the writting I'll now take your advise and ask my broth and sister-in-law who both work with doctors or try posting to roots chat.

Thanks
for the help

Or you could post an image of it in the board in rootschat site.

If you google 'Killraughts, County Antrim' it gets corrected to 'Kilraughts' so I am guessing this is right.
You can send me the image if you wish (I wil need to PM ny address to you), and I'm sure others will offer the same.
Otherwise, I have heard a tip - ask a doctor's receptionist to have a look, they have to interpret doctors' writing!! If you live near an archives centre they might have a look as they will be used to old writing. Older people can sometimes help too (my 84-year-old mother translated something for me once!).

I have just found a marriage certificate I've been looking for but I am struggling to read the place of birth and the mothers maiden name. Is this borad a place where I could get help with this?

The place of birth is possibly Killnaughts or Killraughts, County Antrim
The maiden name looks like Mc%ullion

Thanks
