I may well have but, to be honest, I often don't look at the name because I get so many.

In fact, I'm amazed you can see me for all the foliage...... :-D :-D

Same here - having been given access to a tree yesterday, the person concerned replied to my message and said that they thought I wanted it. That was about 43 people as well!!!

Although this person has a number of threads, I haven't added to one in the last 7 days. There's n'ought as queer as folk ;-)

I only look at my emails once a week unless I am expecting something.

Just looked and someone has shared their tree

I would not be surprised if it is the same person .... 43 people.

Maybe he thinks everyone who replies to his posts is related?

I send out many messages advising people how to return to their threads.

As a result of this, I feel as though I live in a veritable forest of other peoples' trees! They are forever sharing them with me.

Sometimes I think new members just hit the first button they can find :-D

I have received a request to open my tree for a member who I asked if we had any connection from a hot match. I wrote a friendly request explaining that we may have a match regarding a name in our respective trees. This was several weeks ago and suddenly out of the blue nothing but a request to open my tree. Needless to say I havn't!

Sometimes people we help dont understand that we may not be family connected,
If i receive an invite to someones tree who isnt related i will always respond back to them and ask whether we have any connection and why they have opened their tree.

If you delete the contact this will close any contact with them

Ditto, I have just received a similar notification.

Someone who I do not know and certainly do not share any ancestors with has given me access to their family tree. The only contact that I have had with the individual has been when I responded by answering a general question that they had posted on one of GR's message boards.

Is it someone you have helped? I must have at least a 100 trees that have nothing to do with me

I have just received a message telling me someone has shared their tree with me, they have 43 people on it they have not sent any message and I cannot see that we have any connection.

I just wish members would explain how and why they contacting me and not just do this.
