An obit for his brother William Abbott Pluemer here:

http://web2.tucson.com/classified/obits.php?action=view_obit&ticket_id=0003602383-01802

It mentions his brother Herbert killed in action over Holland in 1944 but doesn't say where he's buried. I would imagine it was Europe, if indeed his body was ever found.

The only things I could find are memorial pages here

Findagrave normally lists US fallen service men, but nothing there even without specifying a location.

I'm inclined to go with Margee's suggestion that he was MIA or unidentified and buried in an unmarked grave.

I don't think they ever brought the bodies of fallen servicemen back to USA or Canada during the war. I believe they're all buried "over there".

So once more I was wrong and his body was repatriated 5 years after his death. That would be quite unusual, wouldn't it?
