I haven't looked for Romanians, but my mother's family are from the Baltic States and eastern Europe, so apart from those websites mentioned above, I suggest you try the message boards on genforum/genealogy.com (go to the Country list on the Home page, you'll find Romania).
If your Romanians were Jewish, you will find a wealth of information here
www.jewishwebindex.com, where you'll find a countries list to get you started.
Or www.romanianjewish.org

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but remember to keep an open mind regarding the spellings of your ancestors' names whenever you're searching.....you're likely to see a variety of spellings and interpretations, as each clerk or official recording the persons details will have written their own version. Quite often the foreigner themselves, when entering/living in another country, would shorten or simplify their name for easier pronunciation, and sometimes it had no bearing whatsoever on the original, so don't be surprised to find the name written not quite as you expected.
Some examples within my own family..surnames..Roskaite became Roska, Urbanavicius became Urban, Kisielius became Cassels. Christian names...Juozas became Joe and Yvassis became Yvonne. Vladislavas after finding that people couldn't even cope with Vladis, decided Peter would be easier!!

Happy hunting, and shout again if you need help.

initially and post in http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~jfuller/gen_mail_country-rom.html#ROMANIA
