not found in cencus 1911

is it possible for someone travelling on the night of a census not to be regestered. I cannot find any record of a boy age 7. I do have his mother, father, sister record for 1911.
I know he was alive at the time as he became my grandfather

Certainly no sign of young Alfred with them.

I had a similar situation once. A young daughter was not with her family in the 1911 census and I eventually found her in hospital. She had been recorded with an incorrect forename but fortunately for me her surname was an unusual one so I was able to locate her.

Researching:
Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.
