Do not know what happened here.

But when New Covent Garden was built on Nine Elms Lane a church and graveyard both disappeared.

All the bodies were disinterred and placed in a single grave with memorial in a graveyard in Surrey (either Brooklands or Dorking).

Have you looked at any websites for this cemetery? If so there should be a phone number you can contact.

Croydon tramway built a few years ago through South Norwood goes down the "side" of the Beckenham cemetery.... Closing off the back entrance to the cemetery. Looking on Google Earth, it looks as if the track goes down the inside of the cemetery.According to # 2 son..... If this is the case what would have happened to the graves there?. I know there were a lot of very old graves that had collapsed in on themseves in that area.... Would the bones have been removed & if so what would have happened to them ?
Thank you
