As its a public tree, he hasn't any comeback on you. Go for it as long as you've checked the records and agree.

Make sure that the photo is saved to your computer, If he does return and delete it off his tree, the image will disappear off your on-line one as well.

OH I HAVE CHECKED THEIR THE IRISH SIDE, I ADMIT TO COPYING A PHOTO OF THE GREAT AUNT BORN 1836

I would look at what he has got and then confirm the details by checking records yourself.

Copying sounds an easy option but I have found so many trees with incorrect information that the only way I can be sure of being accurate is to do my own research.

ON ANOTHER SITE A MEMBER HAS PART OF MY TREE I HAVNT GOT,I HAVE TWICE CONTACTED HIM BUT NO REPLY AND HE HAS BEEN ON THERE,I DONT LIKE TO COPY WITHOUT ASKING (POLITE)
BUT NO ANSWER ,SO DO I JUST COPY THE ONES I NEED
