Value of will from 1884 help please ??

Hi

An ancestor of mine left a will in 1884 leaving £1,070 does anyone know how I can convert this into today market value?

Also what I find interesting, is because average earnings were considerably lower then, compared to income it would have appeared much like £400,000 does to us today.....!
