hello.
ive been trying to find the deaths of three children born to the same family in toxteth liverpool between 1912-16.
Beatrice Goodlass born 1912,
Mary Goodlass born 1914,
william Goodlass 1916.
these children a believe are the children of my g grandmother May Goodlass nee wynne/wayne. maiden name sometimes mis transcribed as WAYNE.x ive tried fmp with no luck. any help would be appreciated. :-D

Suzanne, do you mean you believe they died as children? Not quite sure from your query.

sorry if my posts confusing.
may and charles goodlass adopted my grandfather sometime between 1916-17 they had been living as man and wife for sevaral yrs and had no children....several members of my family have told me that the children they had died,thats why they adopted my grandfather..although ive found birth thast i believe are their children,i cant find deaths. :-)

right so that means i was wrong and they did not die as children,
so they cant have been may goodlasses nee wynne/waynes children.

In your opening post you said that May Goodlass's maiden name was Wynne sometimes mis-transcribed as Wayne. How do you know that or have you just assumed that because you found birth records of children born in Liverpool 1912~1916 with their mothers maiden name of Wayne?

the above marriage is charles brother john.
in the 1911 census charles henry goodlass abnd wife may married three yrs and living in toxteth park.
they didnt get married until 1916 in toxteth park. mum remembers her grandmother who was sometimes called mary(her name was may)and she knows for sure that her surname was wynne and she was from mold.
my grandfather was adopted about 1916-17 but we cant find out for sure because as you know there was no formal adoptions(we think they knew my grandfathers mother) my nan remembers being told by a member of the goodlass family,that some children had been born,but had died young. thank you.

Mothers maiden name was not recorded on the indexes until late 1911

oh yes Jax i forgot about that one..never mind im sure i will find out one way or the other ,one day. :-)
