Trying to buy credits

I have tried to purchase the credits after receiving the email from GR but am unable to do so.
I have clicked on the link but every time I click on 'purchase' I am taken back to my home page. I think I am being really stupid and there is something I am missing.
Can anyone advise please?
Thank you

What do you want them for Lyndi? I ask because I understand Genes isn't very good for research purposes and you might be better looking elsewhere.
Otherwise, click on 'home' and you will see '80 credits' in green bar above. Click on this and there is a purchase option.

Elsewhere could include sites such as Find My past or Ancestry.

Find My Past is actually owned by the same company that owns Genes but may be easier to use than Genes.

For Scottish ancestors, there's also ScotlandsPeople to see original documents rather than transcriptions.

Hi, thank you for replies. I use ancestry and FMP, so was just going to take up the special offer to look at the newspaper archives.
Will have one more try before the offer runs out.
Thank you

I was almost tempted to buy credits just for the newspaper archive until I realised they had to be used within 30 days. The credits we were given as an apology back in October last for 18 months so I don't see why any that we buy should expire. I have emailed and asked but so far have had no reply.

I have tried again with no luck. Maybe because I am a standard member I am not eligible for them. Will not bother now - and will just delete any future emails regarding offers (unless it's a discount on my membership ;-))
