I use the old tree!!!!!!! The new one is not user friendly even when it is working --it is boring who wants to look at a grey screen, the details at the bottom of the screen were far better, the profile pic too. The old one is far easier to use and brighter. If it wasn't for the boards etc I think Genes would end up
losing people to Ancestry.There is no point in change for the sake of change and I feel that this is as there doesnt seem to be any real benefit at all.
PLEASE GENES REVERT TO THE OLD SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

GR replied to say they are aware of the problem and are working on it.

I was able to use the new tree last night - when I went to my tree it opened in a window about half the size of my screen, before I expanded the window I clicked on the arrow to reveal the input screens and it opened ok. I then stretched the window rather than use the enlarge icon in the top right hand corner of you the screen (next to the cross to close a window). Worked all night and appears to be ok tonight by doing the same.

Not ideal but a way around the problem until GR fix the problem.

Yes, the new tree is horrible in my opinion, I use the old one.

I use the old tree, much better. I tried the new one again, but can't use it as it just locks up every time I click on anything. So not just you.
I hope they don't stop us using the old tree.

Do what a lot of us are doing - use the old version.

Have just had a look at mine and it is working o.k.

I tried clicking on the person and then on the arrow on the right hand side.

I also tried clicking on the edit button on the person and then on the edit more details button as well.

Does it work if you do it that way???

Am I doing something wrong?

Want to add some information to one of my ancestors but when I click on the arrow to open the Detail, Gallery, Timeline, Clipboard it only opens to about 2 inches wide, it won't let me stretch the screen so I can see the input screens. Emailed GR a couple of nights back but am still awaiting a response.
