MiNY makes a good point - it can cut down on the cost if you already know what you need to see.
If you've already got Ancestry or FMP, use it for the censuses, but it's not worth buying a sub just for them

The earlier censuses are transcribed at: http://www.freecen.org.uk/
However, the coverage varies by county and parish - check the coverage page.

It is worth using FS for BMDs thru the mid 1870s.
If you use the old site:
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true

then you should be aware that there's two sorts of records there.

Firstly extracted records have a footer like

Messages:
Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record. The source records are usually arranged chronologically by the birth or christening date.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Source Information:
Batch No.: Dates: Source Call No.: Type: Printout Call No.: Type:
C112485 1783 - 1820 0993305, 0102549 Film 6902874 Film

This was for my g gran's uncle - the actual info was
Birth: 21 DEC 1820 Tyrie, Aberdeen, Scotland

It was extracted from the Old Parish Record - the source info says which register (in disguise).
C112485 is the code for a "C"hristening or birth - 11=C of S (or GROS index) - 248=Tyrie Parish and 5 indicates time period

The second sort of record is the submitted - (someone just emailed, etc it in to them)

Messages:
Record submitted after 1991 by a member of the LDS Church. No additional information is available. Ancestral File may list the same family and the submitter.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Source Information:
No source information is available.

Occassionally, the Source Info will give a code beginning with an "A" or a digit. This refers to discs of submitted records.
The accuracy is variable - it depends on the submitter.
Here it was for my g gran's aunt, and the info was:

Birth: About 1811 Aberdour, Aberdeen, Scotland
Death: 15 JUN 1887 Fraserburgh, Aberdeen, Scotland

One might guess this info was gotten from her d.cert which lists the informants idea of d.o.d, parents and age.
The p.o.b. was presumably gotten from the census.
Having gotten her d.cert, in this case, I'm confident the info is correct.

Agree the answer to the question is "no".

However you can winnow the possibilities by using Ancestry and Family Search.

No it doesn't. SP has the census scheludes, not just the transcripts, and also has the BMD records.

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if Ancestry.com covers all the information that is on Scotlandspeople.
I have had one session on SP but need to do more research .
