Yes, heard something about that on the local TV news (on in the other room - lol). It's only recently been mentioned!

It makes sense for out laying villages, but from your link, the designated library in our nearest town, is a 5 minutes walk from the Registrar's Office. Unless there is a hidden agenda of closing the existing ones where they are close by???

It was that news report which made me check this.
Awful, isn't it.

Amazing that they thought it a good idea to start the new system at the busiest time of year and without all the staff trained.
