I would imagine that an electrician's job was much the same as today although on a smaller scale. Cragside in Northumberland had electricity fitted in 1880 so by 1917 I would think electricity was being put into lots of different buildings.

My grandparents married in 1917 on their marriage certificate my granddad's
occupation was electrician - what electrician jobs would there have been at that time ??
