Thanks both. Obviously tried this again to be sure that I was not mistaken, but most times the 'keyword' does not appear. Part of it sometimes does, bit like Google searches then? :-(

Which search are you using - the one on each board or Advanced Search

I am a bit perplexed by the fact that when I type a keyword search, the results most times do not contain the actual keyword. Is this normal?

I am referring to surname searches but I would also expect the keyword to turn up in other things such as Counties, towns and other names etc. For example, if I type West I would expect anything that contains the text 'West'. Not always the case though. Uhmmmmm what's going on?
