Well yes, in an ideal world it shouldn't have any bugs at all, But, in reality any brand new free software for a leisure site such as GR will have some issues which will only get identified as members start to use it.

Having lots of problems with the new system too. Have been switching to the old tree but when looking at someone else's tree can only look at the new version. The search doesnt work and cant find certain people on tree even though the owner assures me the person is on there
Will not be renewing subscription

It shouldn't have been rolled out until they had tested it properly.

Time to roll it back in.

Like it or hate it, the 'New' tree will eventually replace the old one.

GR have mentioned the old version cannot economically be maintained in its current state and in order to facilitate some of the changes coming in the future, such as multiple trees, security options, better printing, alternative displays, etc it needed to be replaced with a newer version.

My main concern that it has been rolled out with rather too many bugs in its present state, which is causing annoyance to some members, and getting them fixed is detracting from progressing to the next, and probably more significant, stages of development.

GR said the old tree will be available until the new one is fixed.

Those of us who hate the new version will be OK for a while then?! :-D

Hover over 'family tree' rather than clicking on it

Select 'Old tree' from the dropdown menu.......I use nothing else. Hate the new one - it's awful

From the main page, when you select the green button 'family tree' you get a dropdown list which includes 'old tree'. You may need to close the new tree first, you can't just switch from new to old or back.

Having awful problems with the new tree. I've seen people meniton that they still use the old version. Can some kind person tell me how to switch to it, please?

(I did a search for the information but the search function doesn't seem to work for me!)
