uploading tree from genes to ancestry question

I should upload it as a separate public tree on ancestry and it should then after a while give you hints to add to your first tree. These should be easy to copy.

I have a tree here and on ancestry but there are around 100 more entries on my genes one, to save filling it all in manually on ancestry I want to upload the genes one as a gedcom file

however I have lots of added bits of info on ancestry, will these be lost or will the upload just fill in the extra family members?

Researching:
Boliver, Hinton, Clarke, Parry, Edwards, Hughes mainly from N Wales and Shrops border counties
