Hi Robert
I have no practical advice for you other than i agree that the new tree has largely become rather a mystery, a bit like doing a jumbo jigsaw.

Perhaps i'm a bit of an old dog but lately i've began to find tree-time rather testing, the whole thing is so fiddly & irritating.
I'll say no more, i hope GR can smooth all the dungs, so we can once more enjoy our rewarding hobby.

Good luck
Kathy :))

Robert In the new Tree layout open the sidebar on the right hand side where all the detailed info on your person is and check the page fully there should be a link that says Photos. you will find find your photo's hiding in there.

As for the new tree layout it is boring and full of glitches I made the mistake of trying to upload new photos and struck the some problem as you did as well as one photo I did manage to load then started appearing in the photos of every person in that particular branch.

I have been very patient with Genes, this is the second time they have changed tree layouts but this time,
I have had enough and I saw 'RED' and sent a Message to Genes. It is not acceptable, it is now April and There have been major glitches going on in all parts of this Site since early December.

Would suggest keep using your old tree and look to building your Tree on another Web Site. Both Ancestry and My Heritage allow you to create Trees for Free which offer far better layouts and features than the 'Genes Tree' does. ;-)

If you asked who liked the new tree and had no problems with it you might get a couple of replies.

Why on earth did they release it without testing it properly? :-|

I'm using the old tree until I'm forced to use the new one........... and if it's still full of bugs...... I'm out of here :-P

Edit: typo "buts" - changed it to "bugs"... maybe I should have just added another " t " :-D

Presumably, you refer to your GR tree.

Have you tried using the old one?

Just hover over 'family tree' in the dark green bar, and select 'use old tree'

Has anyone had any problems with this new updated site please?? As I seem to have lost a lot of my attached photos to my various ancestry entry's.

Or does anyone have a solution of how to gain them back ?

When I try to upload a new photo, even one of 150kb jpeg it just runs the progress bar indefinately and wont upload.

Many Thanks in advance. :-S
